It takes real knowledge, skill & a desire for excellence on part of the technician to do it right. It takes time to do a re-stretch well. It is important to use quality equipment, like power stretchers, to insure the stretch is going to last. Proper training of carpet stretching is important so seams are not damaged or affected negatively. Most often carpet bubbles are merely due to poor installation. Also, carpet can become un-tacked from the edges during furniture moves, or simply pushing heavy items across the floor.
Carpet Seam Repair
Separated & torn carpet seams can make even the nicest carpet look tacky. Carpet Seam repairs are very common as a good carpet installer is increasingly harder and harder to find. Poor installers just use a seam tape to mend carpet because it is quick and easy, but it’s not durable. It is important to repair or install carpet with seams that are mended with a commercial seam iron & professional grade supplies. Most often, seam repairs are due to poor installation in the very beginning. Our technicians are trained to re-seam carpet with the tools & skills to give a strong seam for many years.
Carpet Patch
Patching carpet is required for a variety of reasons: from spots that can’t be removed, pet tears to carpet burns. It takes real knowledge, skill & a desire for excellence on part of the technician to do it right. It takes time to do a carpet patch well. It is important to use the quality standards as mentioned in the seam repairs section above, since the patch in essence is a seam repair on 4 sides of a new piece of carpet. It is important to note that carpet patches are not recommended for worn carpet as there will be a difference in the appearance of new looking carpet on the patch from the rest of the carpet area. Our technicians are trained to handle patches of all sizes from small plugs to 1/2 a room.
Carpet Spot Dyeing
You don’t have to live with those carpet blemishes anymore. Spot dyeing is good for a variety of carpet blemish issues like bleach spots. It is important to understand that dyeing carpet is not always guaranteed and cannot always be matched exactly. What caused the carpet blemish will determine the success of the spot dyeing. When a spot dye is not successful we recommend doing a carpet patch as explained in section above. The type of carpet will determine if it can even be dyed. Our technicians can do a fiber test to determine if your carpet can be dyed.
